Now We’re Cooking on Gas

4 May

We’ve just sold on eBay, the porch and full Isabella awning that we used with our previous Van.

This is good, as it gives some more, much needed funds towards kitting out our new Van becuase if you remember, last December we lost everything in a fire. Consequently we’re having to buy everything again from new starting with knives and forks upwards.

A new awning was purchased at the end of last month, so that’s the biggest accessory bought. Next in line is a barbecue and we’ve opted to buy one of those fangled Cadac gas powered units that seem to be all the rage amongst tuggers in the know these days.

Cadac Gas Barbecue

Cadac Gas Barbecue

Such an item will be a step-up from our last gas barbecue which was a small one that used lava-rock as it’s base. A brilliant cooker to be fair, which did the best bacon you’ve every tasted; but having seen one of those Cadac units in action recently, we’ve decided to switch allegiances.

So as this post is being written, our on-line order for one is probably sat on the servers of Riversway Leisure whilst it waits to be processed. £130 for the top of the range thing with all the accessories and a cover – a good buy we felt. Follow this link to see what we’ve just ordered.

We’ll let you know how it fits in with our outdoors life in a future caper.

Certainly does, unfortunately it’s a library picture of the item we’ve just bought. We haven’t got as far as cooking on it yet. Thanks for contributing anyway.

The website looks more formal now. Even I admire it totally. Also I liked the new stove like cooking device. It seems to be portable. It will be very efficient for picnics and camps. It is often that we don’t get hot food when we are on outings. Also shall be effective to cook raw food instantly.
