That’s it we’re home after our three night stay in a static at the Rimington Caravan Park.
Typical really as the weather’s just picked up. I took the dogs for their morning walk in bright sunshine after breakfast just to rub the point home about the weather, whilst Missus Capers cleaned the unit ready for its handover back to the site owners. (more…)
It’s now Tuesday afternoon, which has given us time to put some thought into this Static Caravanning malarky now that we’ve been here for a day or so!
So what do we think?
Well the actual unit we’re staying in here at the Rimington Caravan Park which is near the village of Rimington & Middop in Lancashire, is spot on. It’s the former Site Warden’s residence so it’s right next to the entrance barrier opposite the owner’s home and site clubhouse which features a small shop and bar (Fri & Sat openings only). (more…)
Our tow-car’s clutch (a Jaguar X-Type 2.0D Estate) is buggered and whilst the thing is driveable - just; we don’t trust it to tow our van on a Caper.
So until we can raise the several hundred quid to get it fixed, our Capers have been curtailed, hence the lack of activity on this blog! (more…)
